Jeffery Austin – Team Gwen – For my money, Jeffery Austin is the best singer in the competition. Just a bit too cocky and overconfident, Barrett’s gotta dial back the dude bro, dude. Until I realized it’s humility Barrett lacks. When his song didn’t head to the top of iTunes last week, I was surprised. Barrett Baber – Team Blake – Early in the competition, I thought Barrett could win it all. She’s got a good chance to make the finals.ģ. I think she’s more style than substance, but The Voice fans do not agree with me. Amy Vachal – Team Adam – Amy’s stylized vocals and stunning visual presentation has earned her a devoted following. Self-directed, she’s the best hope for Pharrell at this point in the competition.Ĥ. I thinks she’s still a favorite in the competition, and could rise on the charts again with a different song.
Madi Davis – Team Pharrell – Madi did something a little different last week, with her slightly reggae-fied “Who Will Save Your Soul,” and the result was lower iTunes sales. He’s going to outlast a better singer, guaranteed.ĥ. All that hip thrusting last week earned him some fans who might not stop voting for him. He may not be that easy to shake from the competition. Zach Seabaugh – Team Blake – Zach totally blew his pimp spot, with a performance that proved he’s a one trick pony. If she could just loosen up a bit, Emily could go deep in the competition.Ħ. Her performances sound a lot better than they look. You can see the wheels turning in her head as she sings. She’s awkward, unsure and overthinks her performances. She’s got one of the best recording voices of all the competitors. Emily Ann Roberts – Team Blake – She’s cute as a button off stage, and her vocal tone is so pretty and pure. But for some reason, she’s overshadowed by some of the other singers. Her performances have been consistently solid throughout the competition. Shelby Brown – Team Adam – Shelby may be doing better in the competition than I’m giving her credit for. His earnest sincerity is going to take him farther in this competition than his vocals ever will.Ĩ. Braiden Sunshine – Team Gwen – I knew he wouldn’t be eliminated last week, and I’ll bet we don’t lose Braiden until the semi-final blood bath. I expect Even will be safe at least another week, because Gwen is screwing over Korin even worse.ĩ. You know in his heart, he wants to sing those Christian alt rock songs that brought him into the competition. I wish Evan would just put his foot down and say No. Evan McKeel – Team Pharrell – Evan has a superb voice, which Pharrell is pitifully mismanaging. Poor song choices, and confusing advice is going to likely sink Korin this week.ġ0. Only lots and lots of rehearsal and guidance on her stage presence and vocal technique will aid in her growth. NO Gwen, changing Korin’s hair color isn’t going to give her the confidence she obviously lacks. Korin Bukowski – Team Gwen – Gwen is treating Korin like some kind of dress up doll mini-me.
